Breaking News was released by Dreamspinner Press at 12:01 am on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. How do I know? Simple – I stayed up and kept refreshing my screen until it popped up as available for download. I hope readers enjoy this book. Following the publication of my first book I listened to the feedback from readers (at least that that was offered as constructive feedback – the ridiculous rantings of others were utterly ignored) and worked very hard to make this story as solid and engaging as possible. My thanks to the tremendous editors at Dreamspinner Press. They made this book significantly stronger and I very much appreciate their assistance. Without them Breaking News would not be half as good as it is now.
The story of Breaking News is simple: Coleman Young is a journalist who has worked day and night to get to where he wanted to be. He is the White House reporter for his network. At 32 he’s made it to his goal. Why, then, isn’t he more happy? Why is he cranky and moody? Well, it could have something to do with the fact that he’s lonely (and horny, but mostly lonely).
His producer, Sarah, decides that since Cole isn’t doing very good at finding prospective gentleman to date, that she will take things into hand. She hires a matchmaker to find eligible bachelors for Cole to date. What ensues is a series of some of the most disastrous dates that any two people on the planet have ever endured.
Will Cole ever find someone to love? Someone to come home to at the end of the day? Someone to talk over his fears, joys, worries, and excitements? Read Breaking News to find out.
